MORPETH LEGEND TO TRAIN ON WEARSIDE!

On February 16th, for one night only, one of the UK's top Masters runners, Ian Hudspith, will be at Silksworth to train with the Harriers. At 45 years young, Ian continues to bang out times and performances that runners half his age would give their right arm to produce. Just last September he ran a superb 66:08 to finish 15th in the Great North Run, whilst career bests of 3:47.6 (1500m), 13:46.90 (5000m), 28:35.11 (10,000m), 62:53 (half-marathon) and 2:15:47 (marathon) bear testimony to a superb range across all distances. Ian is a former clubmate of Albert James, who has persuaded him to come and train on Wearside, but whether Albert can use his famed charm to persuade him to join the club is a long shot at best! Ian, who represented England at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, will be happy to answer questions on his training, racing, commitment to the sport and hopefully will be able to shed some light on the secrets of his incredible longevity, so get along to the club that night for a master class in distance running. It's an opportunity not to be missed! Timings etc, will be published nearer the date.
