HARRIET'S ON TOUR.

A crowded fixture list, prior engagements and injuries led the to the Harriet’s being spread thinly over the last week, but yet again they delivered some excellent performances. At the Farringdon Relays the cross-country team, depleted by injuries finished a creditable 4th, led home by Alice Smith with the 4th fastest time of the day and ably backed up by Colleen Compson and Vikki Cotton. Colleen with Amy Callaghan was on the start line again on Sunday representing the club at the Tees Pride 10k part of their preparation for next week’s Great North Run.

It was raining medal the Northern Masters Championships in Sheffield where Jacqueline Etherington gained a fantastic 4 gold medals in the 1500m, 2000m steeplechase, shot put and discus. Not to be outdone Anna Harris, Vicky Haswell, Nikki Woodward and new member Christine Elliott weighed in with their own haul of medals. From the men’s section Rob Walker came away with an individual gold in the V35, 1500 metres.
